When PJ Morton left New Orleans 14 years ago, he didn't plan to return. 

The musician, who's now the keyboard player in Maroon 5, was always going to come back for some of his mom's cooking and check in at the Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church, which his father, Bishop Paul S. Morton, leads. But he wasn't planning to actually move home.

AEG Live opens new Gulf Coast office, acquires Buku promoter Winter Circle Productions

AEG Live, the massive entertainment company that partnered with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2004, is opening a new Gulf Coast office, it was announced Tuesday (Aug. 4). AEG has acquired Winter Circle Productions, which will run the new regional base of operations.

Beach House announces new album, Depression Cherry, plus extensive world tour

On August 28th, Beach House will return with a brand new album called Depression Cherry. Due out through Sub Pop Records, the nine-track LP follows 2012’s superb Bloom and serves as the dream pop duo’s fifth to date. It was recorded and produced by the band with the help of longtime collaborator Chris Coady (Future Islands, Wavves) at Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

New Shelby Lynne album coming in May; hear the title track now

2.24.15 - Singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne has set a May release date for her next album, "I Can't Imagine," and given listeners an early opportunity to hear the title track. Lynne and Rounder Records recently announced a May 5 release for "I Can't Imagine." Lynne, who was born in Virginia, grew up in Coastal Alabama before moving to Nashville and later to California, returned to the South to record this project working at Dockside Studio in Maurice, La.
