SPECIAL MESSAGE: MOTION PICTURE REVISED AUDIT GUIDELINES

July 17, 2012

2012 is off to a roaring start. This year we have seen many successes including an Academy Award for the animated short film “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” and the feature film “Beasts of the Southern Wild” is showing signs of joining the ranks of Oscar winners from Louisiana (it has already scored awards at the Sundance and Cannes film festivals). In addition, Louisiana welcomed the award winning visual fx firm, Pixomondo.

As July winds to a close, the rest of 2012 looks to be just as successful. Production numbers are anticipated to meet or exceed 2011s. Louisiana is open for business and we have a lot more exciting news on the horizon.

In an effort to provide further clarification with our motion picture incentive program. Please see the new audit guidelines here. These guidelines are effective immediately and will be issued with every initial certification letter issued from this date forward.

Thanks again for contributing to Louisiana’s success. Please feel free to contact our office anytime.
