Reminder To Applicants In Louisiana's Motion Picture Incentive Program
August 14, 2014
As a reminder, processing times are set in state law as follows:
- Applications- Initial certification or denial letters shall be issued within 60 days of receipt of a complete application.
- Final Certification – Final certification or denial letters shall be issued within 120 days of receipt of the audit and all requested documentation.
All applications and requests for final certifications are processed in the order they are received. In most cases we are issuing our determinations well before the statutory timeframe has elapsed. We strive to issue all determinations as quickly and efficiently as possible.
I sincerely appreciate your continued support of Louisiana Entertainment.

1.23.17 – A year ago, “Manchester by the Sea” debuted on the first Saturday of Sundance 2016. That same magic must have rubbed off on Dee Rees’ “Mudbound,” an operatic drama about two families set in 1940s Mississippi Delta that premiered to the most enthusiastic standing ovation of this year’s Park City gathering so far.
12.9.16 – Thanks to two powerhouse recordings from the same family name, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, and an infatuation with the city of New Orleans, two sisters represent the city's most notable connections to the 2017 Grammy Award nominations.
1.21.16 – Louisiana Entertainment is now assigning CPAs to perform the expenditure verification report.
