This year marks the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's 1977 landmark film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," and fans will have at least two ways to mark it. First, a restored version of the film will be playing at a number of local theaters for the week starting Friday (Sept. 1). In addition, the Chalmette Movies has scheduled a two-night engagement of a documentary focusing on the making of Spielberg's film, which was shot in Mobile, Ala.
